  • Eba-yama Museum of Meteorology

Housed in the former Hiroshima District Meteorological Observatory, a reinforced concrete building completed in 1934, the Eba-yama Museum of Meteorology was the first meteorological museum in all of Japan. The building itself is also registered as an Important Cultural Property.

Home to a wide-range of hands-on learning exhibits, like the Wind Capsule that lets you experience gale-force winds, and the Typhoon Experience Room, where you can experience what the inside of a cloud is like, the museum is fun for the whole family.

On weekends and national holidays, visitors can enjoy live science shows and workshops, as well as special exhibits held twice a year. Check out their official website for details (Japanese only).
