Hiroshima Andersen (Former Hiroshima Branch of the Imperial Bank)
Originally built as the Hiroshima Branch of Mitsui Bank, at the time of the bombing, it served as the Hiroshima Branch of the Imperial Bank after a merger. The building faced the brunt of the blast winds which tore off the roof, and the wall facing the hypocenter crumbled before falling victim to the ensuing firestorm. Post-WWII, the building was renovated and reborn as Andersen Bakery. The building was renovated and re-opened in August 2020.
