Camphor Tree (Misasa Elementary School)
In the schoolyard of Misasa Elementary School stands a large camphor tree with its branches providing ample shade. Exposed to the bombing 1,850 meters from the hypocenter in the yard of a residential home, it was replanted at Misasa Elementary School and continues to thrive today. Note: as this is a school, entry is prohibited without prior permission.
