Weeping Willow (near Kamiyanagi-Bashi Bridge)
You will find this weeping willow south of the west end of the Kamiyanagi-bashi Bridge. It was exposed to the bombing 1,400 meters from the hypocenter and stands slightly slanted at 6.0 meters tall with a trunk circumference of 1.95 meters. Looking at aerial photos from the time of the bombing, it was confirmed that the tree was exposed to the bombing and that it continues to live on at the same location today.
