This Japanese hackberry is located on the bank of the Kamiyanagi-bashi Bridge that spans the Kyōbashi-gawa River. It was registered as a hibaku tree based on a citizen testimony who said the tree was in their yard since the prewar period. Located 1,400 meters from the hypocenter, the tree stands 18 meters in height with a trunk circumference of 2.30 meters as an impressive survivor of the bombing.
